Abandoned Bunker
The Abandoned Bunker is the result of a 10 week course at SCAD focusing on storytelling in a 3D space.
My goal with this project was to learn more about storytelling, lighting, and to hone my asset creation techniques. A modular approach was taken in the structural components of the bunker, and every asset apart from some of the materials used during texturing were created by me.
The project also includes a Lee Enfield Mk4 No.1 as the hero asset created over two weeks which was my first attempt at 3D weapon art.

Development

The starting block in made in maya, used to determine scale and how many assets I would need to create in order to populate the space

I started by creating the large forms for my structure using a modular methodology, I also created a set of modular pipes to help add some believable clutter to the walls.

I had the large objects, so I created a few variations of cans and paper in various stages of damage and age. The textures, apart from the checklist paper, were chosen using a switch node in the material The light and vent were manually placed throughout the scene, and the strength of the light was controlled through a bluprint
