Lee Enfield Mk.4 No.1
The Lee Enfield Mk.4 No.1 is my first attempt at creating a weapon in maya, the experience was incredibly fun and challenging.
The Hero Asset is static as I have never rigged or done animations for a prop before, but I would love to revisit it and give it working animations when I have time
This was also my first ever model that used both a mesh and textures that were 100% all created by me using Maya, Substance Designer, and Substance Painter.

This was the location in my Abandoned Bunker scene that I placed the Lee Enfield

Development

I started by modeling a high poly .303 round that I could use as a scale reference for the rest of the rifle.

The model was created using a non-destructive workflow, using Booleans to cut away at a rough starting shape. Although the rifle was a hero asset, our project brief asked us to keep the weapon below 10k polygons, and this methodology made that very easy. All throughout the process I referenced images from above, and both the left and right of the rifle

Both the bullets and the rifle were given new and worn materials, with the .303 round getting a new model to show the round had been fired.
